Project Name

SPCC Plan/Business Emergency Plan - Rooftile Facility

Description

This facility produces concrete roofing materials. The manufacturing process uses certain oil based materials and a variety of hazardous substances. Federal and local agencies require a Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure Plan and an Employee Emergency Episode Plan which is known locally as a Business Emergency Plan.

Justice & Associates was contracted on a time and material basis to audit the facility, evaluate the MSDS information and create a hazardous materials inventory. All oil products handled and stored were identified. This information was then incorporated into the Business Emergency Plan in accordance with the lead agency requirements. Employee Emergency Episode Procedures along with employee training materials were developed to assure that all employees were properly informed and educated.

A Spill Prevention Plan was developed in accordance with the provisions of the Code of Federal Regulations Title 40 (40 CFR). The plan identified emergency response procedures, containment structuring and established inspection and record keeping requirements.
