Prepare modification application for an Authority to Construct/Operate (ATC/OP) Stationary Source Permit in Las Vegas, NV for submittal to the Clark County Department of Air Quality and Environmental Management (Clark County DAQEM)

Justice & Associates prepared all necessary documentation required to modify an air quality permit from the Clark County Department of Air Quality and Environmental Management (Clark County DAQEM). A modification was necessary at this facility because four new cement silos were added. New equipment must be added to the air quality permit before it can be added to the plant.

Justice & Associates provided all application forms, modified emission calculations, flow diagrams and maps necessary to acquire a new permit for the facility. This application also included a Best Available Control Technology (BACT) analysis for the new silos. The BACT analysis determines the maximum degree of regulated pollutant emissions reduction for a new or modified emission unit. Justice & Associates determined that BACT on the new silos was equipping them with bin vents that control 99% of the particulate emissions.
